The Visual Storytellers

Draw more, together: Ole Qvist-Sørensen at TEDxCopenhagen 2012

We must draw more together. We all know that a picture is worth a 1000 words. Pictures can convey complex information in a way, which is natural for our brains to grasp. Visual thinking is a gift we all have and drawing is an easy and simple way to show and involve others in understanding — or seeing — what we mean. Drawing together can be seen as a collective meaning-making process for a group. It’s easy to learn. It’s intuitive. It starts with pen, paper and curiosity.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
